When the Youngs sold the house, the Eastlake-style sideboard, large table, and other dining furniture was included in the sale. The dishes, the cups, saucers and plates, were also left with the cottage. They were found wrapped in white linen napkins, and later found to have a white embroidered “Y” on all of them. This was very popular, as it was a trousseau, and might have been a wedding gift to the couple in the 1870’s.
